Current capabilities

Built for daily local use

The signed 0.34.1 public baseline adds independently updating Multiview tiles, exact project artwork, and notifications from every enabled printer profile.

Flexible Multiview

Choose a focused printer, two-printer or four-printer layout, or an automatic grid with independent live status for every complete profile.

Explicit control target

Pause, Resume, Cancel, printer light, P1S Load/Unload, Reprint, Upload, and print submission remain bound to the selected printer identity.

Plate-aware workflow

Upload a complete multi-plate 3MF once, choose a plate when printing from the SD card, and Reprint the exact plate recorded in History.

Independent artwork & alerts

Each active tile resolves its own exact cached project image, while enabled profiles can notify independently about completion, pauses, errors, and connection interruptions.

Local-first privacy

Printer credentials stay on the PC, access codes use Windows Credential Manager, and PrintPanel sends no printer telemetry to TechTimeGuy Designs.

Signed updates

Installers are Authenticode-signed and in-app updates must pass a separate cryptographic signature before Windows can install them.

Beta availability: Multiview is included free throughout the PrintPanel 0.x beta. Its availability and packaging may change for the stable release; participating beta testers may be eligible for complimentary Supporter access.
Before installing

Know the beta boundaries

PrintPanel is ready for controlled testing, but printer-changing actions still deserve the same attention as the printer's own controls.

Requirements

  • A Windows x64 PC with Microsoft Edge WebView2.
  • A Bambu Lab printer reachable on the same local network.
  • The printer IP address, serial number, and LAN access code.
  • Available local connection capacity on each printer.

Safety boundary

  • P1S is the only model currently hardware-confirmed for controls and print submission.
  • Other detected models are deliberately monitor-only.
  • Guarded controls default to disabled and require fresh compatible state.
  • Keep the printer attended whenever an action can heat, move, load, unload, or print.
Connection note: the tested P1S practical limit of approximately three local MQTT clients applies per printer. PrintPanel uses one client on each monitored printer, leaving the remaining capacity for tools such as Bambu Studio, Home Assistant, or another local panel.

We are beginning with a small group so every report can be reviewed carefully and no tester gets lost in the noise.

  • P1S owners who can validate the proven control workflows on another network and firmware combination.
  • Owners of other Bambu models willing to test monitor-only detection and reporting.
  • People with two or more printers who can exercise simultaneous monitoring.
  • Testers comfortable describing exact reproduction steps without sharing credentials.

What testers agree to do

  • Install only from the official release page linked here.
  • Begin with monitoring before enabling guarded controls.
  • Report the PrintPanel version, Windows version, printer model, and firmware version.
  • Use the app's privacy-safe support report and remove anything they do not want to share.
